As you might have seen, we recently launched our C

As you might have seen, we recently launched our Complete Aftercare Lash Extension Kit, which we recommend getting when coming for lash extensions.

Reason being, it not only adds to the longevity of the lash extensions' retention, but also simplifies the entire process of cleansing them regularly - as you should.

In this short video, we just tried to demonstrate exactly how much our kit helps with the "lash bath" process, while still being mess-free.

This kit includes the following equipment:

• Container for the Shampoo that is also provided in the kit

• Container for the water to rinse off shampoo & residue left

• Spoolie to brush, detangle and straighten your lash extensions to keep them looking perfectly new

• Small foaming brush to gently cleanse lashes

• Fluffy reusable cleansing wipe to absorb water, which can be used for facials and skincare as well

• Comfortable adjustable sleeping eye mask for protecting the lash extensions

Quick tips : When brushing through, ALWAYS brush in a downwards direction, going from the middel part of lash to the end and NOT from the root/ base of exension, as this can weaken the adhesive bond with the natural lash and possibly remove/tangle/damage some lashes.

Lash Lift & Tint.

Eyelashes are as unique and distinct as your eye colour itself. Some people are blessed with long lashes that naturally curl upwards. For many, they aren’t so fortunate. If your lashes are straight, short, or light in colour, then you will find yourself considering lash lift or lash extensions at some point

What is the difference between this and lash extensions?

Both a lash lift treatment and the application of lash extensions will make your lashes look fuller and longer.

With eyelash extensions, individual artificial lashes are bonded to your natural lashes. Medical grade glue is used. This isn’t the same as applying a complete strip of artificial lashes.

The new lashes are adhered one by one, reflecting the shape of your eyelid and natural lashes. Being a complex process, it can take up to 2 hours to complete. These lashes generally hold up to 2-3 weeks, but can in some cases even hold up to more than a month if proper aftercare is maintained.

A lash lift involves effectively perming your lashes, curling them so that they look as if they are longer and certainly better shaped. Your lashes are curled, using a bonding formula, around a shaped shield. Lashes are also tinted to darken and intensify them – just like wearing mascara but without the faff. The process takes around 1 hour. This treatment can hold up to between 6 and 8 weeks.

Fundamentally, this means that extensions tend to look more dramatic and lash lifts tend to look more natural.

If your eye lashes are particularly short, even the best and most skilful beauty therapist will not be able to complete a lash lift. There needs to be a reasonable length of natural lash in order to create the desired curl.

Please know that with both treatments your eyes are closed the whole time, meaning it’s incredibly relaxing. Therefore, should you snore, we do not judge and what happens in our salon, stays there.
